MRSS | Sculptor

About

From my studio in Salisbury, I mainly work in stone, iron, stainless steel and bronze; materials that – to me – feel elemental, hard and uncompromising. This is fundamental to my work. Wherever I’m inspired – natural forms, heavy industry, words, politics – I strive to imbue the piece with an elegant solution. I want the viewer to feel invited to touch, feel contrasting textures and engage with the physical form alongside the intellectual idea.

There is a continuous process of exploration, of developing new ways to interpret ideas, to challenge the commissioner and viewer.

I produce work for galleries and exhibitions and undertake commissions for private collectors, public bodies and schools.
